Happy Birthday Alton!

I said I was hoping to have Alton home before his birthday and we made it:) We made it by about 2 hours! Nothing like cutting it close;) I didn't have time to run to the store to get eggs and such to make a cake, so grandma Kathleen and grandpa Mike picked up some birthday cupcakes at the store for lunch. Alton loved it and chowed his down!

We also got visits from grandma Janet, grandpa Ralph and Uncle Joe for dinner on Monday night.

Grandma and Grandpa surprised the kids with matching big sister and little brother John Deere sweatshirts:)

Alton seems to be settling in pretty good so far. We weren't sure how he would react to Amber. He was hit or miss with dogs while we were in Colombia. Sometimes he seemed to like them at the park and sometimes he seemed freaked out. We were relieved that he is fine with Amber and seems to like her:)

The only thing he is not adjusting to so far is his car seat. In Colombia he would sit on our laps in the cars. He cried at the top of his lungs the whole way home from the airport. We didn't go anywhere yesterday, just hung out at home letting him get used to the house. Tonight he needs to come along when I take Athena to dance class though since John won't be home by the time we leave. We'll see how it goes;)
